German-Portuguese Brokerage Event in Berlin

We invite German entities dedicated to the energy sector to join us at our biliteral brokerage event with Portuguese stakeholders. The event will take place in Berlin on 7th and 8th of May 2026. The goal is to create a network of German and Portuguese companies and research organisations with high potential and strong ambition for future collaborations in energy calls of Horizon Europe.

Objectives of the event
The networking event will be a structured opportunity for networking and international collaboration, designed to:
- Strengthen the German participation in Horizon Europe and its share of funding in the energy sector by forming competitive consortia for Horizon Europe applications.
- Improve collaboration between academia and industry to facilitate strategic partnerships with leading entities in Portugal.
- Increase the visibility and internationalisation of German entities.
- Create a network of German and Portuguese companies and research organisations with high potential and/or strong ambition for future collaborations in Horizon Europe.
This two-day brokerage visit which is co-organised by the Portuguese Innovation Agency (ANI), together with the German National Contact Point Climate, Energy, Mobility (NKS KEM) and Berlin Partner, who will welcome you in Berlin for the event.
Who can participate?
German universities, research institutions, companies and SME´s with an interest in:
- Active participation in European collaborative projects under Horizon Europe, especially Cluster 5.
- Renewable energies, energy systems and digitalisation of the energy sector.
Entities based in Germany were asked to submit an expression of interest to participate in the Horizon Europe Cluster 5 brokerage event. Please note that participation in visits is limited to one participant per organisation. German entities will participate at their own expenses. The deadline for expressions of interest expired in March. Nevertheless, if you missed it, just contact us.
We expect about 10-15 participants from each of the two countries.
